the food of memories

What is it about the most memorable meals? Is it that they surpass expectation or that they contain surprises or they are in interesting settings or with beloved company? Perhaps all of those, perhaps some of those, perhaps some other element entirely. We are all so individual in what we remember, and how we remember it.
